Character Development Isn't Easy

WHAT ARE MORALS?

Our morals are the reference points we use to make moral decisions. We look at a situation through a particular moral lens and decide what we ought to do. We may look at situations and make decisions, for example, by examining the consequences, or by applying our faith, or looking at what is best for us, or just doing what we know to be right because of what our moral conscience tells us (the little voice in our head).

We make moral decisions throughout every day, but we rarely think about why we chose the actions we did. If we can think about our own moral reasoning and understand the basis of our decisions, we can take a large step toward self-understanding and better decision-making.
